First Time Visitors

We hope the information on this website helps you understand what we're about and encourages you to visit us.

What Can I Expect?

The parking lot is located to the side of the Meeting House, with additional parking located behind it. Follow the pathway to the Meetinghouse and come in the outer doors then the inner doors. No one will start or conduct the meeting hour, instead we settle into quiet meditation, prayer, and discernment. We have no chosen minister, and there are no sacraments or predetermined order of events.

Any in attendance may be called on by the Divine to speak and give vocal ministry. Learn about our faith and our form of Worship under the About tab.

During worship, we strive to suspend our own wishes, opinions, and agendas, opening ourselves to the continuing revelation of the Spirit. We wait for what may arise from our prayerful silence. An initial quiet period enables us to settle in, shifting our thoughts from our everyday lives to the inner light.

Out of this gathered stillness, some may be led to speak. Since we believe that every person has “that of God” within them, anyone may offer a spoken message, which is called vocal ministry.

Can I Bring Children?

Everyone is invited to join us for worship, including children who are welcome to sit with their families/guardians during Meeting for Worship. If children need a break, their guardians are welcome to take them to the adjacent Gathering Place where there are restrooms and a special children’s area in the sunroom.

Is the Meeting Handicap-Accessible?

Yes, there are ramps to the Meeting House and the Gathering Place.

What Do I Wear?

You are welcome to join us as you are, and dress as you feel comfortable. Many friends typically wear casual clothing during meeting for worship.

Where Do I Sit?

There are no assigned seats, so please sit where you like. For that reason, the benches in our Meeting House are arranged facing one another so that we may see one another and share vocal ministry during worship.
